The 13th International Interdisciplinary Conference on the Environment, will be held in Portland, Maine. The Interdisciplinary Environmental Association's conference is being motivated by the increasing need to combine ideas and research findings from different disciplines to better understand the interactions between the natural environment and human institutions. Presentations will focus on what all disciplines have to offer in understanding environmental and resource problems, possible solutions, and the implications of the globalization of environmental concerns. The International Congress of Toxicology will be held in Montreal, Canada. Sessions will cover themes such as: Fetal and Environmental Origins of Obesity, Household Exposures and Children's Health, Nanomaterials, Male Reproductive Health Under Toxic Assault, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, and Toxicity of Wood Dusts. The Ocean Carbon and Biogeochemistry Summer 2007 Science workshop is in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. This science workshop is organized around thematic plenary talks at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The specific themes and speakers for the meeting still are being formulated.
