Marine Resource Users, Managers and Educators. 16 May 1996.
This resource contains the proceedings
from the May 16, 1996 conference "The Garden in the Sea." These
proceedings were recorded, transcribed and edited by Cyrille White. This
resource contains the transcriptions of each of the presentations made
during the conferences four sessions. Some of the topics covered during
the day were the "Use of Satellite Data, the Advent of SAR, and
Oceanographic Remote Sensing at the University of Maine,"
"Advances in Remote Sensing of Phytoplankton," "Use of
Acoustic Imagery from Side-Scan Sonar and Seismic Reflection to Evaluate
Seafloor Habitats," and "Satellite Imagery for Aquatic
Environmental Education." Also contained within this resource are any
supplemental materials supplied by the presenters.
