This workshop was convened due to the diversity of modeling approaches used in the Gulf of Maine. Although the approaches are different, they all seem to rest on the same underlying principle. Due to the broad range of techniques being used, it was agreed that there could be the need for a Gulf of Maine Modeling Center. Such a center create a point of access, facilitate the transfer of models, provide easy access to model input data, aid the development of interfaces and provide community access to pooled equipment. This report contains summaries of the seven model presentations given at the workshop, as well as includes a workshop agenda and list of participants.
