“Coastal waters in the Gulf of Maine are known for their clarity and productivity, and we would like to maintain this precious resource. To do so, it is important to get out on the water and determine the condition of the Gulf’s waters. EPA Region New England staff and colleagues last month finished its third consecutive year of sampling waters along the coasts of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts using EPA’s only oceanographic research vessel — the 224 foot long OSV Bold.”
