Almost missed this January 9 story in The Chronicle Herald: A local sustainable fishing project has been named a runner-up in a global environmental contest for coastal fisheries.

A $5,000 prize and invitations to a Washington, D.C., awards ceremony in February go to Off the Hook, a Bay of Fundy-based community fishery.
