Friday
- All Day:
1.
Develop and agree on an appropriate GOMINFOEX structure
Purpose:
The Out of the Fog 2 Workshop (http://www.gulfofmaine.org/gominfoex/ootf2_agenda.html)
agreed that additional work is required to formalise GOMINFOEX so that it might
more clearly identify tasks and gain better access to financial resources -
without reducing the existing collaboration, co-operation and synergies that
have been characteristic of the initiative to date.
Following
a brief review of our present status on Thursday afternoon, participants will
consider appropriate organisational structures on Friday. An initial document
will be generated for circulation at the beginning of the meeting to start the
discussions. It is hoped that a document can be generated on Friday that might
be acceptable for circulation to all interested parties. If successful, this
document will be of use in future efforts of priority setting, planning and
actions of indiiduals and of the group as a whole.
Preparatory
Work:
1) A one-page discussion
document will be circulated.
2) All GOMINFOEX
participants should review the GeoData Alliance principles http://www.geoall.net/6p-principles.htm.
Anyone with objections to accepting these for GOMINFOEX should write to the
GOMINFOEX "Info-Nag" (boudreaupr@mar.dfo-mpo.gc.ca)
by December 8th. If there are no serious objections, these principles
may be approved and accepted for GOMINFOEX.
All
participants are encouraged to provide input into the discussions and consensus
document as they become available.
